Traumatic case or work experience? – Ask for a debrief from a senior member of the ED team. If things are still unresolved, referred to the TRiM Team. Trauma RiskManagement.
TRiM is a proven support system. Some of your colleagues have trained as TRiM Practitioners; they are not counsellors or therapists, but they are trained to listen to and support you. The TRiM process involves an informal chat with one of the practitioners who will listen and can also see how you are managing and assess any risks. TRiM is entirely confidential, peer delivered, and provides follow up support for you. You may be invited to take part in a TRiM interview, or you can request one through your senior manager. It’s a great way to process your own thoughts and to bounce ideas off a colleague. rcht.trim@nhs.net (Alice Dudley, Robyn Jones, Lauren Howard, Anna Shekhdar, James Midda, Hannah Collarbone, Joy Ferguson are all TRiM trained).
